چکیده
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) have shown substantial potential to increase road safety. To guarantee a growing presence and correct use of ADAS, safety initiatives such as driver education programs promote safer vehicles need be oriented towards the specific needs individual drivers. The aim this study was explore sample Australian drivers’ rationale for driving vehicle with ADAS strategies that they when learning operate functions ADAS. Semi-structured interviews were conducted 48 drivers aged between 19 78 years (M = 41.54, SD 16.32; 25 females). results organised into four themes: (i) reasons driving/purchasing car (ii) systems influencing purchasing systems, (iii) used by about (iv) perceptions regarding importance training Acquisition frequently occurred because perceived benefits (e.g., rear parking sensor or in-vehicle information system). Additionally, some participants did not highlight main reason Indeed, mentioned acquisition reasoned process but rather an opportunistic decision upgrading their vehicles, mainly these already included in vehicle. Regarding education, it found using trial-and-error approach capabilities official sources knowledge system rarely consulted. On positive note, recognised correctly, showing there is demand effective engaging education.

This paper presents a non-intrusive approach for monitoring driver drowsiness using the fusion of several optimized indicators based on driver physical and driving performance measures, obtained from ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistant Systems) in simulated conditions. The paper is focused on real-time drowsiness detection technology rather than on long-term sleep/awake regulation prediction techno...

Developing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles is a challenge without precedence. Whole new engineering fields – such as artificial intelligence – need to be developed, yet time-to-market is short with intense competition. Estimates indicate that billions of miles of road testing will be necessary to ensure safety and reliability of ADAS and autonomous vehicles. Th...

We present a methodological approach for validation of advanced driver assistance systems, based on randomized algorithms. The new methodology is more efficient than conventional validation by simulations and field tests, especially with increasing system complexity. The methodology consists of first specifying the perturbation set and performance criteria. Then a minimum required number of sam...
